Article Requirements
Dear authors!
Articles for the scientific-methodological journal “MEDIALINGUISTICS. JOURNALISM. COMMUNICATION” are accepted in Uzbek, English, Russian, Spanish, Polish, and Hindi.
Scientific articles submitted to the journal must meet the following requirements:
I Article length:
10–20 pages (or 3000–6000 words, including abstracts and the list of references).
II It must include the following information about the author:
  • First name, patronymic (if applicable), and last name
  • Academic degree (if applicable)
  • Academic title (if applicable)
  • Job title or position held
  • Place of employment
  • Email address
  • Contact phone number
III Article format:
  • Text editor – Microsoft Word
  • Format – A4
  • Margins – 2 cm on all sides
  • Font – Times New Roman
  • Font size for article text – 14, for author information – 14
  • Line spacing – 1
  • Paragraph indentation – 1 cm.
  • Layout – book style (книжная), with no page numbers, no word breaks at the end of lines, and no footnotes..
IV Article structure:
  • The article title should be written in capital letters and must reflect the general content of the article (the title should be provided in three languages: English, Uzbek, and Russian). For foreign authors, the title should be in the language of the article and in English. If the article is written in English, the title should only be provided in English.
  • The article abstract should be written in English, Uzbek, and Russian (font size – 14, line spacing – 1). The abstract should cover the main topic of the article, its relevance, novelty, objectives, and results. The recommended length for the abstract is 180–250 words. For foreign authors, the abstract should be provided in the language of the article and in English. If the article is written in English, the abstract should only be provided in English.
  • Keywords and phrases – no more than 5–7 words, written in three languages (English, Uzbek, and Russian), separated by semicolons. For foreign authors, the keywords should be provided in the language of the article and in English. If the article is written in English, the keywords should only be provided in English.

The article text must include the following sections: introduction, main body, and conclusion. Alternatively, the article may be structured in the IMRaD style, consisting of the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, based on the author's preference.
In the introduction of the article, the relevance and novelty of the topic should be justified, the research objectives and tasks should be defined, and information about the history of the issue should be provided. When justifying the relevance and novelty, it is recommended to refer to previous studies in the field of research. Additionally, information about the research material should be provided.
In the main body, the methods used to study the issue, the obtained results, and their interpretation should be presented.
In the conclusion, the results should be summarized, conclusions and recommendations should be formulated, and directions for future research should be outlined. The conclusion should not exceed one page, and there should be no references in this section.

Specific requirements for article formatting:
  • The authors' last names and initials should be written with continuous spaces between them (using the "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Space" keys on the keyboard). For example: M.R. Artikova (in the article), Artikova M.R. (in the references list).
  • Sources cited in the text should be indicated in square brackets as follows: for quotations: [Teshabayeva 2019: 98] – the author's last name, publication year, and page number; for references: [Teshabayeva 2019].
  • Examples in the linguistic field presented in the article should be italicized.
V Formatting the list of references:
  • List of References (Использованная литература / List of used literature). This list should be placed at the end of the article in the language and font of the article, in alphabetical order, without numbering (font size 14, line spacing 1). The list should only include sources that are cited in the article text.

Important!
  • The references in the language in which the article is written should be placed first in alphabetical order.
