“MEDIALINGUISTICS” Scientific Research Center
The Scientific Research Center “Medialinguistics” was established in 2025 under the Department of “Linguistic Support of Intercultural Communication” (currently “Medialinguistics and Communication”) at the Faculty of International Journalism of Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
The Center conducts scientific research in the fields of linguistics and medialinguistics and organizes students’ research activities.
The objectives and functions of the Center include the following:
-To organize and edit scientific research in the fields of medialinguistics, sociolinguistics, and political linguistics; to support the implementation of higher education programs; and to develop and expand cooperation with national and international institutions, including educational organizations;
-To organize and conduct scientific-practical conferences, seminars, and presentations;
-To develop research topics for organizing students’ scientific research in the areas of linguistics, medialinguistics, corpus linguistics, and foreign language teaching;
-To train master’s and doctoral students in the fundamentals and methods of scientific research;
-To manage the activities of the journal “Medialinguistics, Publicistics and Communication” under the Center.
